In a stunning location set back by the old  Harlyn Bridge, Harlyn Surf Life Saving Club was formed in 1989 after the closure of the independent boat rescue organisation, Harlyn Rescue.

Harlyn Surf Lifesaving Club is affiliated to Surf Life Saving GB which is the National Governing Body for Life Saving Sport.

There are more than 80 Surf Life Saving Clubs and 5,000 individuals who are affiliated to SLSGB, with more joining every year

Our club is an independent charity with the following aims:

To promote beach safety awareness and education.

To provide lifesaving training at all levels, from Nipper to professional Lifeguards

Our Clubhouse is located below the Carpark at Harlyn Bay and the club is run solely by volunteers who have a passion for the club.

We are a team of parents, RNLI lifeguards and members of the local community who are all volunteers to help provide appropriate levels of safety cover.

We are always open to new members and welcome new supporters.
